Dr. Perry M. Perretz is that rare physician
trained to address pain through many different techniques. Dr. Perretz started medical school after first working as a licensed
acupuncturist for eight years. The patients he saw were the most
challenging cases, often having seen eight or ten doctors prior to
visiting him. His success with these patients fueled his desire even
more, and led him to study osteopathy, an approach to medicine that
emphasizes functional anatomy as well as manual techniques to restore
optimal performance. After completing medical school at the University
of New England, and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
at the University of Chicago, Dr. Perretz sought out Dr. Cohen to
learn more about such alternative techniques as prolotherapy, neural
therapy, and applied kinesiology. Dr. Perretz practices prolotherapy,
neural therapy, osteopathic manipulation, trigger point injections,
and acupuncture. He
is one of a small handful of doctors in the country to have integrated
these philosophies and skills in his approach to medicine. Patients
have come from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire,
and Maine, as well as New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to seek
his care. With this broad approach, combined with his warm, intuitive manner,
Dr. Perretz offers a unique and welcome alternative to conventional
appraches to the treament of chronic pain. |
